PRODUCTOrganic and Inorganic Products

At our Fundamental Chemicals Division, one of the original businesses of Kanto Denka since its inception, we are producing caustic soda, chlorine and hydrogen from salt utilizing the ion-exchange membrane electrolysis method. Inorganic and organic products that are produced via this method are used as industrial basic raw materials for various purposes.
In inorganic products, caustic soda and hydrochloric acid are used for water treatment and the production of various kinds of chemicals. Sodium hypochlorite is used as a bleach and a sterilizer.
In organic products, nonflammable chloride-based solvents such as trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene are used to clean metal parts and for dry cleaning. Vinylidene chloride is used as a raw material of fire-resistant fibers and a resin for food wraps and packages.

  • Paper and Pulp
Caustic soda is used for the production of paper and pulp. Sodium hypochlorite is used to bleach paper.
  • Water Treatment
ć·„Caustic soda, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite are used for the treatment of wastewater from factories, city water and sewage, contributing to cleansing the environment.
  • Cleaning of Metal Parts
Easy-to-handle nonflammable trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene, which have a high capacity of dissolving dirt, are used for cleaning metal parts.
  • Hydrofluorocarbon
Trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene are used as raw materials for hydrofluorocarbon, which is used mainly as a cooling agent for cars.
