Research and Development Network

Since its establishment, Kanto Denka Kogyo has been launching a range of products based on its unique technology into the market.
Currently, Research and development (R&D) bases established at and near factories in Japan and overseas and the R&D division at the headquarters work together to develop new products. For semiconductor materials, in particular, we have established the Semiconductor Materials Development Department within the Business Division to prepare a structure that integrates sales, development, and prototyping. In this way, we promote customer-oriented research and development.

Research & Development Center

Engaged in the development of next-generation materials with the aim of creating new businesses that will drive the future of the Company.
By intensively study our core technologies, such as electrolysis technology, fluorination technology, particle control technology, as well as our strengths such as chlorination, miniaturization, and high purification, the Center works on the development of new products targeting such fields as environment and energy, electronics and information communication, and life sciences and healthcare.

Research & Development Center Shibukawa Branch

Engaged in the development of carriers for copiers and printers, as well as fluorine-based functional materials.

Research & Development Center Mizushima Branch

The Branch is mainly engaged in the development of battery materials―our main business. Engaged in the development of new materials for secondary batteries, recycling technologies, and high-value-added fluorochemical and chlorine-based products. We are also engaged in development of high value-added products using fluorine and chlorine.

Semiconductor Materials Development Department

This department works on the development of specialty gases, our core business. To respond to the diversification and sophistication of materials and processes, and to comply with environmental regulations, we work on comprehensive development of gasses, ranging from alternative gases to next-generation gases.
