At 4:31 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, a fire broke out at our Shibukawa Plant (Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture).
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and offer our sincerest apologies and sympathies.
We also deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern caused to our neighbors, shareholders, business partners, and all parties involved.

Safety Pledge
At our company, we will ensure that we pass on the experience and lessons learned from this incident to future generations, so that we will never allow a tragic accident of this kind to happen again.
On August 7, 2026, in front of the “Safety Memorial” installed at the site of the incident at the Shibukawa Plant, we held a safety prayer ceremony. At that ceremony, our President, Mr. Hasegawa, declared our Safety Pledge.
Our social role is to provide products that benefit society by safely handling hazardous chemicals using advanced technology. For that reason, we had set safety first as the top management issue. Therefore, this accident shakes the very foundation of our management and has caused a great shock.
Going forward, we are determined to achieve our goal of zero accidents and zero injuries, and we will work to improve our safety awareness. To that end, we will strengthen safety in the workplace and also promote more active communication to create an open and comfortable work environment.
