Advanced Reasearch Lab.
Located close to Shibukawa Plant, the laboratory works on the basic research of new promising products supporting our future business in various areas including semiconductors and liquid crystal, battery materials, solar energy, and medical/pharmaceutial/agricultural applications though featuring our strength in halides (e.g. fluorine and chlorine compounds) and microstructural refinement technology.

Development Research Lab. - Shibukawa-Area Lab. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, used to analyze compounds
This lab develops high-value added products, such as fluorochemicals and organic compounds. It is currently focusing on new etching and cleaning gases for semiconductor production, a segment with expanding market potential.
Based on the diversified demand for copiers and printers due to an increasing use of digitization and colorization, we are developing carrier materials with longer life and smaller environmental footprint.

Development Research Lab. - Mizushima-Area Lab. Production equipment for organic intermediates
This lab is responsible for researching and developing materials for batteries and organic compounds as well as handling commissioned production in these fields. In the organic compounds field, we focus on researching the synthesis of high-value added compounds, primarily organo-fluorine compounds used as intermediates for the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries, as materials for liquid crystals and as various functional materials. This lab is also in the planning stages of obtaining certification for the Good Manufacturing Practices designation to further bolster confidence in our capabilities.
